Production / Shift Supervisor

Port Elizabeth

Our client in the automotive component industry is looking to appoint a Production Shift Supervisor and a Shift Supervisor


  • Minimum grade 12 (Maths & Science advantageous)

  • A tertiary production / technical qualification advantageous

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in the automotive manufacturing related industry

  • Exposure to a chemical environment is preferred


Maintenance Supervisor

Port Elizabeth

Minimum requirements:

· National Diploma OR BTech Mechanical or Electrical

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment.

· Supervisory experience (artisans)

· A good understanding of Quality requirements in a Manufacturing environment.

· Must be able to work shifts when required

· Must be prepared to work well within a team.

· Must have a sound knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment.


· Implement concepts, plans, designs and proposals with regards to engineering solutions with particular reference to equipment, facilities, services, energy and processes.

· Functional Machines: Ensuring high equipment reliability and availability through delivery of engineering solutions, SAP / Shop Ware PM (planned maintenance, predictive maintenance, inspection and lubrication), Root Cause Analysis, Operator and Artisan development, Resourcing and Planning.

· Engineering Administration Processes that includes SAP purchase requisitions, quotation requests, SAP/Shop Ware PM, action plan prioritization (War Room), job card sign off, artisan daily equipment inspection and reports sign off and end of shift reports.

· Drawings: Able to interpret engineering, civil, flowcharts, P&ID and Gantt charts.

· Artisans: Provide specialist advice and co-ordination of artisan activities and manage performance (Artisans in team will report directly to Maintenance Supervisors).

· Cost Management: Through improvement initiatives and critical spares identification and management.

· Health, Safety and Environment: Ensuring compliance to OSHACT and Company Safety and Environmental Protocols.

· Projects: Co-ordination and participation in various projects relating to productivity, reliability improvements, energy, cost saving, expansion and processes.


Production & Logistics Strategist (Equity)


Minimum requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Finance, Economics or equivalent.

  • Must have minimum 3 years’ experience in consultancy industry and minimum 5 years technical expertise in transport and manufacturing



  • Knowledge in strategy development from conceptualisation to execution and management thereof.

  • Have solid experience in Project management, Manufacturing processes and Financial acumen.

  • Must be computer literate in advanced PowerPoint, advanced Excel, Outlook and Thinkcell. Must have leadership qualities and communication skills to handle senior management interaction, complex and wide-ranging discussions, influencing/convincing others of his/her views.

  • Must be administratively strong.

  • Self-driven, takes initiative, strong negotiator with clear opinions, good communicator, analytical/creative/innovative thinker and good inter-personal skills.



  • Extended network with external relevant stakeholders (government officials, consulting industry, other OEM’s, tertiary institutions, etc.).

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and the entire value chain.

  • Digitalisation/Technology savvy



Continuous development of the Manufacturing Excellence strategy and the following related functions:

  • Establishment of the Strategy and implementation of a Plant-wide Manufacturing Excellence training program for all employees including continuous refresh.

  • Establishment and roll out of the Communication strategy, including Corporate identity and Branding concept.

  • Preparation and presentation to various leadership forums such as BoM, Pillar review, Production Management meeting, etc.

  • Management and integration of Group & Brand strategies/initiatives (Transform Together, Together for Integrity, etc.) into Manufacturing Excellence.
